Frankfurt School appoints Co-Pierre Georg as Director of Blockchain Center
According to IT Finanzmagazin, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has appointed Co-Pierre Georg as Professor for "Practice in Digital Finance and Technology" and Director of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC). Starting September 1, 2024, he will join the Business School's Finance Department. Previously an Associate Professor at EDHEC Business School in France, Georg holds a PhD from Jena University and has extensive research experience with institutions like Deutsche Bundesbank.
The FSBC was founded by Philipp Sandner and focuses on blockchain technology impacts. It also covers crypto-assets, digital securities, CBDCs, asset tokenization, DeFi, and NFTs. Ansgar Richter from Frankfurt School expressed confidence that Georg’s expertise would strengthen their position as a leading European think tank.
